If you have a farely large tank and lots of space you'll eventually find a little constraint as the max ml/min is 120. But so far I haven't heard much issues with it.

Anyone change out their tubing bought from the "group buy" yet?

A 3 roller head would allow for a higher dosage.
Heads are inexpensive & I wonder what shipping to the west coast would be, to NY IIRC it was $32.

Are you using the 3 roller head?

Not yet, figured it would go on with a tubing change, whenever that will be.

Just a quick update on this, my pump now has a very audible "squeak" that can be heard outside of a closed cabinet, with just under 6 months of use. I'm going to replace the head, unless someone else has any ideas. Overall, I'm pleased as I received mine from AliExpress for just under $200, but the squeak is very annoying.

A new head is $5, either 3 or 6 rollers.
Shipping is the killer.
Let me know what it is for you.
It was $32 to LI,NY

So maybe we should all stock up on heads at once.

Great it doesn't cost much but a shame they're so cheap you have to replace them every 6 months. Hope the rest of the pump keeps up.

Very interesting, seems like Vinny is clued in on the 3 roller head. I'd be up for a group buy on heads and tubing if I buy this pump. Will probably wait until black friday and see if BRS discounts it a little. I have gift cards to use up.
I'll go back in this thread but can anyone describe what connectors are needed to adapt this to my Geo CR?
I have a 130 gallon system so I don't think it would need more that 50-80 ml per min. Will have to experiment.

Joe

SO I ordered a 3 & 6 roller head for the pump.
Came in today. The 3 roller unit does NOT have extra shafts for more rollers, so I think it would have to be looked @ carefully if you were to just cut off 3 rollers.
The head is held on the shaft by an Allen head screw in the center of the rollers.
Hi Vinny,

Where did you order the 3 and 6 head rollers from?

I’ve ordered stuff from Alie Express and stuff from China through eBay before and it typically took 1 to 1.5 months for the stuff I’ve ordered. Note that I’ve neber ordered Kamoer pump from China before.

Hi Vinny, interested to see how you like the 3 roller. I've had my kamoer and CRX on line for 3 days. 12ml per min and 6.70 - 6.87 geo CR624 with reborn tank DKH 8.5. Seems ok, working and minimal sound.

How much to ship? Got a link?

Joe

To be perfectly honest I still have it in the bag with the spare 6 roller.
To get a higher Alk reading I have been slowing my water through the reactor.
I am probably less than half what I started with.
If I blink the rollers look like they are standing still.
Joe - At that flow rate I doubt you would need the 3 roller head.
