But, then you can't use the controller.

I don't think so that you need to worry about that so much. All step motors generate some sounds during work however it's not a problem until your tank is not placed in bedroom.
This motor is one from silent available on market and without doubt one of the best.
Using Masterflex is not possible (with our controller) because the key is CPU which controls three things in the same time - optical sensor, solenoid valve and step motor pump which made it completely independent and very easy to use.

I have commissioned two units: first one was rather quiet, and the second one a bit louder. The problem got solved with a little oil on the shaft.

Stepper pumps are noisier than conventional dosing pumps, but nothing you can't deal with. Just install it under the tank and the water flow will conceal any noise. This is a sturdy and reliable pump, you will notice when you watch it running.

Yup, mine was externally wrapped in bubble which I really appreciate, especially when shipped internationally. Just getting mine setup.

One thing for sure: everything shipped by Pacific Sun is very well protected. The wrapping is really awesome

How do you guys feed this reactor? By a dedicated pump or from a manifold of the plumbing system?

You don't need anything. The Calcfeeder is shipped with two brackets, just hold the inlet and outlet pipes in the water and the dosing pump will make the water flow

According to Montireef you can just draw the water from the sump by using the included peri pump / controller, but if you still want to feed the water from your return, what is your reasoning? Thank you.

Well that's the way it was plumbed before the reactor showed up today.
So if I change this plumbing to draw we sure this works? Hate to change it and it not draw lol.

Mike,
Yes, you can use our PRO controller with any kind of reactor - it can work as feeding pump in the same mode like Masterflex etc.

Instead of a bubbles per second co2 recommendation, is there a milliliters per second recommendation?
