Bigbluetang has had one running a little over a month. He said it has gotten a little noisier but is keeping his tank stable. I had the chance to work with his and think it could be a viable option. Time will tell, though, I think it may still be a bit too early for people to jump straight in.

Would be nice if someone wss going to support it state side. I suspect by the end of the year this won't be the only alternative to masterflex pjmps.

Glad I found this thread as I was just going to ask about it! Seems like a good price to run the calcium reactor. While the manifold has been fine for me, it does require some adjustments about once a week. Would be nice to really be able to dial it in and leave it. Don't want to pay over $200 for a feed pump but might do it anyway. :0)

Very nice to know there is finally a continuous duty peri that is small and pretty wallet friendly. I have a couple old Dolphin mec-o-matic peri pumps that are super loud and I couldn't stand the noise.
I've been using the controller method with streaming effluent on my little Rx and it's been fine so far (3 months now), but will definitely consider this if things go south.

Currently I have it at 20mls/sec. But so far, it seems pretty quiet. No louder than any of my other equipment.

I've always used masterflex pump and these pumps look like a good alternative. Following along.

does this have 6 rollers?

besides the noise of my old mecomatic, it only had 3 rollers which tended to pull the tubing to one side and strain the clip on the suction side. this looks like it would be a little more gentle on the head tubing.

maybe someone can run theirs away from their tank (video), once they get it, just to show how quiet/loud they are.

I have had one of these for a while now. The pump is silent. I have not done a decibel reading but I would say silent. The oscillating fan in my fish room is louder then this pump.

if I recall it has 4 rollers.

Per the pic on Coralvue's website it looks to have 6 rollers. Since I can see 4 in this pic, I assume there is 2 more that remain unseen.

Looking good, looks like I can start to get my calcium reactor up and going. Let the savings begin.

i saw the same thing. hence the 6 roller question. if it has 4 and the head is actually different from the pic, then it's still better than the three i had :-)

Just to report on the noise level. Originally, I was at 20mls/min and I had to drop it down to 17mls/min and the pump got much quieter.

Looking into a tubing order for this pump.
Please put your name here if you want a length from a 25 foot piece.
$2.41/ft & cheapest shipping from 11764 or if someone else wants the responsibility.
2 so far---

Just to clarify, this is the tubing for the effluent/feed, not the rollers, correct?

Tubing is Pharmed PBT used on the rollers in the pump.
I have it connected to RO tubing to & from the sump.

What size Pharmed BPT tubing did you order? Trying to determine what fittings to buy from US Plastic for the RO tubing connections.
