I would empty the tank immediately. It can be a huge problem, especially 1/2”. It will stress the glass but it will also stress the seems on the tank & it isn’t a matter of if it will fail, it’s when will it fail because it will.

I bought that same size tank a while back and the previous owner removed the whole top trim thinking thats all they needed to have a rimless tank..It was full when I went to buy it and it easily bowed out more than an inch in the center...They had it that way for years without issue..
I bought it but replaced the trim immediately... Your tank could be ok or it may fail anyday... I would correct the problem by replacing those supports in some way or another.. I couldnt sleep at night knowing major supports were missing..

I concur with the above.
It won't be a problem until it is. And then you have a big mess to clean up. |

Main reason. When it bows it puts a ****-eye stress points on the seams. This puts all the pressure at the corner/edge seams on the bonded parts. With the braces it pulls even at the seams. I'm guessing thats a 180g. I promise you WHEN not if, but when it goes. You will be surprised as to how big of a area all that water will cover.
Structure wise, if its euro braced, it spreads the tention even along the seams. The plastic is just a type of euro bracing to do the same thing. With out it. Bad very bad things happen.

While you are waiting to get a permanent fix drain some water and put a clamp from front to back. You can get them at your favorite big box store. Not pretty but will save the day and you can continue to cycle at a much lower water level.
