levanisol for flatworms
Where is this thread about using levanisol for flatworms. I just need the formula for mixing it up as I've used it before and ran out of diluted solution.

Pig dewormer works but like flatworm exit it will kill lots of pods, micro brittles etc. and brown out coral. imo not worth it over almost harmless planaria.

Per your request Sammie
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=1379099
Recipe is on page 1. If you follow the directions it will work flawlessly. Where I think people get into trouble, as 2 folks that posted on my thread, is that they wing it, alter the recipe or silly things like dosing 1.5 ml per gallon and then basing that calculation on POSSIBLE volume not NET/ACTUAL system volume. My notes after the recipe will indicate my results and pointers. Quick notes. Yank out some serpent stars, mysis (if you have them in your system) and save them in a culture to quarantine before you hit the system with the dosage. Brown out corals if it even occurs are a very temporary issue if your system is where it needs to be. And the harmless planaria can reach numbers that cover and block out corals when the lights are on. Everything, and I mean everything except fish gets lavasole before it enters any of my systems. Post your results in the thread above. Good luck. Last edited by CleveYank; 09/25/2010 at 07:59 AM. |
