Seagrass Wanted

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can obtain seagrass specifically Halodule wrightii?
or does anyone have some to sell?

I have already tried Gulf Coast Ecosystems with no luck.

Thanking you all in advance!

Mark

I'm growing some right now, but I unfortunately don't have any to spare. If I ever do, though, I'll remember you. Gulf coast usually begins to have shoal grass from March to December, so check back on occasion. Maybe they don't have some now, but they may in the future. It's a seasonal item.

Thanks L,

I appreciate the info. I talked to Russ over at Gulf Coast and he said he is not going to offer it in the quantities he has before. They are ony allowed to collect ripped up or free floating clumps. So it is difficult to obtain. Hopefully he will let me know when he does get some. When and if you have any to spare please let me know. Thanks again!

Regards,

Mark

FWIW- H.wrightii, was described from material collected around Cuba.
H.beaudettei, grows around the Gulf coast and up the eastern coast of Florida. But,if you were to show Me both of them,I,and even some of the grass experts, wouldn't be able to tell them apart.

Just a little trivia for ya!
Good luck in Your search for it!
