I really should have tried harder for a few decent dinner pics....it was late. You will have to use your imagination.
The aquarium as seen from above. |

I had the best time. Thank you Erin for posting the most embarrassing one you could fine of me. lmao I have one of Greg, I will post here, although it turned out fuzzy, it keeps cracking me up that he managed to hide those bottles so well. I have a crappy camera so I won't try to compete with some of the others pics so here's what I have to offer>
Greg getting felt up (and down) A beautiful picture of Erin New friends View from 6609 And did this crack anyone else up or was it just another example of my warped sense of humor? Hoots |

Hahnmeister said: "Marineland was showing off their series of tanks. They look very nice and come in some huge sizes... this one was 6 foot long and 3 foot deep... what other maker has these? They also said this tank's MSRP was only about $1000, and it has Starphire on the front 3 sides!!!"
Are you sure of this? $1000 MSRP for that exact same tank? My husband actually told me if this is true I should get one!!! I think he's tired of helping me restore my 280 gal used acrylic tank. Getting a new glass tank would make his life easier ; )

We were talking at the bar about 'what other city could possibly top this MACNA in Atlanta?'... with the Aquarium and all... you know? I would say that since IMAC is no more, Chicago would be a given. Atlanta doesnt really have much to do in that area... you have to go up to the Virginia Highlands and Buckhead for the most part. The Aquarium is neato, but there are several places that I feel could give Atlanta a run for it... mostly Chicago, SanFran, somewhere in Florida (although I have seen enough ORA for a while now...lol). Or, of course, it is called the 'M.A.C. of NORTH AMERICA' so having it up in Canada might be cool... Toronto for instance would be killer, eh? I hear they get black maximas up there for cheap, eh? Thats where Giesemann and lots of other 'North American' distributors are, eh? But Cali... I bet one reason it isnt so common is because there are several events there already (like Chitown with IMAC, which now is gone... so Chicago?!?!). Reef-a-palooza and others in that area. And another reason is because major vendors/sponsors/supporters like ORA and F&S wouldnt hold a candle to all the wholesellers, importers, and stores over there that can carry corals that are 2x as cool for 1/2 the price (all the cool corals get cherry picked there unless you are direct shipping elsewhere, but still, that costs more $$$). So for MACNA to retain their major supporters, they wouldnt want to drag their sponsors into a market that they have no interest in. Cali (and close by) has enough reefers to pretty much have their own MACNA every year. |

I'm going to call some retailers tomorrow ; ) Thanks for the info.
I third Orlando!!! I am only 4 hours from Atlanta but missed out due to health issues. Orlando is about a 5 hour drive. Tampa would be cool for me. I used to live there and could stay with friends. Lots of reefers there too.
