I Have 4 T247 over my 180. They are a great buy for the money. I am very happy with them.

Do you think 3 over a 125 would be ok? My canopy would have them sitting right at 12" above the water.

Why did you go with 4, the width of the 180?

If you can fit three go with it. Better coverage.especially if you do SPS.

I went with four because I wanted complete coverage and I have many SPS.

Bugan how would you compare sps growth and colors to MH or T5
Can you show some sps pics?
I used d120 with my previous setup, was very unhappy; with a future setup was considering going back to MH or T5.
Help me decide.

I'm happy with them too.. the culprit was stray voltage. Finally things are growing...and fast too. The birds nest I got in there were almost dead, and we're given to me by a friend to see if things were better in there. They're so much bigger now back from the edge of death. I'm thinking of changing my tank to a regular 40 gal long will one light be enough?
