and as promised, my new additions as of today... everyone open and happy within an hour or so... i feel REALLY good about this additions when sometimes im a bit unsure... my source has a GREAT system, and puts alot of hard work in and seems to take great care of their corals... i purposely choose some well established peices, and im very happy with my purchase...
please dont mind the crappy pics... LA lakers... fruit loops... im so stoked about these, its REEEE' DONK' ULOUS!!! blue hornets... coronas... these things when fully open, are pretty freakin' awesome...

and a new video of my display... some tiles still have some coloring up to do, and some are completely new... so the white is kind of distracting at the moment... give it a few weeks, and its not even noticable anymore
thanks for looking my fellow zoa lovers!!!

I wonder how your zoas would react if you target feed them once a week some quality coral food.
What is the temperature you're keeping them? Are you adding the same additives as before? Do you think the zoas began to feel the change of salt brand and that's why they were closed? Thanks for the video!! Grandis. |

Just curious, what mode are you running your MP40's and the percentage, as well are they in synced or anti-synced mode, and are you using night mode? Thanks

I keep my temp at 79 to 80 degrees... I no longer dose lugols at one drop daily.... But jus a couple drops once a week... And the same with amino acids that I was dosing at 5 drops daily, I am now dosing 10 drops one day a week... I started using red sea pro coral salt about 4 months ago as well as went from using well water with a tds of about 95 for two years, to using rodi water with a tds of 0 to 1... I change about 5 gallons every other week... If I change more than this, I tend to get dinos for whatever reason... Never could really figure it out, nor am I too concerned as long as they don't return... And I changed my little "aquascape" a bit to position all my zoas in the front two rows and my sps in the back two... I need a few more 2x2" columns to complete my look, and when I do, I'll take a new full system video I appreciate your interest in my zoas and your overall enthusiasm about zoas/palys and this forum board in particular I hope I answered your questions friend...

That's how I keep mine! Quote:
When I didn't feed my zoas I could notice differences when stopped iodide for a week or so. They would show signs like partial closing and such. Again, I just think it could be the lack of iodide, but can't really proof anything. I add about 2.5 ml of iodide per week now. I'm trying to add my amino acids in tiny amounts with the food and hope to get even better results. I also give some drops to the system 3 times a week. Quote:
Dinoflagellates can bloom with excess silicates, as we know, besides other nutrients. I had the same going on here when tried commercial treated drinkable water for the top off and makeup. I think it comes from the resin. Try to go back to the well water, if you can. Quote:

And thanks for feeding even more my enthusiasm with the info! Grandis. |

The zoa god showed his tank 0-o thanks for sharing lol now i got to copy you.
I had a ton of them tiles from my kitchen back splash i was thinking about doing that in my tank with them in my sand. Then i saw your thread so i know it will look good. I like how you put them on tiles then stack them on larger ones they look great when they grow down like that i wonder how a sunset monti would look.

not the best extension obviously, they are a little annoyed in this pic, but it shows how they have been growing from the last pic posted here... Tubbs blues...

hey, you have an awesome collection on your hands and seem to be doing an incredible job keeping them happy. On your fruit loops and my clementines, do you keep them in higher or lower lighting? Thanks and keep the updated pics coming.
