Which tank

I am trying to decide between a used Cadlights 100 or orderinfna new Cadlights 125. I can save about 1000 if I go with the used tank. Tanks are similar dimensions with the 125 being a foot longer and four inches wider. Equipment wise I already have everything for th tank.

It's really up to you and what you can afford. IMO, the 125 will make a difference on stocking options and may be better for décor b/c of the extra 4 inches of depth.

Everyone is going to pick the bigger one

I personally would only buy a large display tank new (so I say 125!), but that's me and the circumstances could be great for the used one (friend, trusted history etc.). Someone simply not leveling their tank right could cause issues down the road, etc..

Bigger is better so I also say the 125. But if the tank is in good shape, passes a leak test and saving $1000 is highly apealing to you then get the 100. You can put that $1000 saved into rock, fish and corals.

Take some time to figure out what fish you want to keep and what size tank they need. Also consider what sort of aquascape you want.

For me, a 100 was not quite the right footprint for what I wanted and a standard 125 would not fit in my living space.
