birth of 2 builds totaling 30k gallons

I'm starting new build threads for the new arriving tanks. For now pics can be found at sps 1250. One system is 22k with 15k gallon tank. The other is 3500 gallon tank with just about 8k total system. The larger tank is being installed now. The smaller needs to wait for a house extention and hence is in storage for while. At some point I will separate the two threads.

Worm. This is really a big job. We are already in deeper than we thought. Lol. Have lot of good people and consultants on job. The 3500gallon tank will be sps dominated. I just can't see doing that in the massive one. Will be Marco rock tons of fish and probably some basic corals like sea fans, gorgonians, anenomes, maybe some pocillapora, turbinara. Etc. Want to make the big tank a set and forget project.

Very nice... It is going to be show tank, that is for sure!

Not to be strange... but I am more curious what is under the hood than anything else.

For the larger tank, may I suggest something along the lines of a few mermaids?

Wow, that's a lot of water! Will you be handling the maintenance on the system or will you have help?

Worm. All the big chillers, lights reactors and skimmers have been purchased and are in storage. Same with huge pumps. As soon as we take out of storage I'll update the under the hood.

The first picture you looking at is big tank slab. Once tank is in, the extention of the house to be 15 feet past garage door, will be built for fish tank rooms on basement level and below basement level ie sub basement. Garage door is a goner.! Sub basement will be where sumps and mixing vats will reside.

We need a new category for tank builds.
There is LARGE tank builds... and then there is INSANE tank builds.
I think this one belongs in the latter category. lol

I can't wait to see this thing filled with water. What type of larger fish are you thinking about?

This is gonna be cool to follow! Listen, if you need anyone to babysit your peppermint angels...

Your 1250g tank is amazing, so I'm sure both systems will be even better!

Cfloor. I'm going to bemoving lots of fish currently in my system and adding. Big angels. Conspics. Clarion. Annularis. Asfurs majestic. Blueface. Emperors. Bandits. Then schools of tangs. Achilles and powderblues. Maybe schools of lookdowns. Basically everything that can grow big. Triggers.

D2 mini. Your right. I'm nervous it's so insane. But I fell in love with Joe yaurillo system at Atlantis marineworld in riverhead long island. If you get chance look that system up. Its nicest 20k gallon plus view of reef I've ever seen. Always wanted to try to duplicate it. So here we go. Btw. We will be using him as a consultant. Hes already been involved. Great guy.
