Can't connect profilux 4 to my computer

Hi
I bought a profilux 4 plugged it into my computer.
Went into ghl control added the profilux 4 but it will not connect when i hit the connect tab.i know I'm missing something please help.

You need to make sure you are using the correct com port. This is critical. If you don’t know what com port it’s on, go do device manager without the profilux USB connected. Open up the com/ serial port tab. Note what is in there. Then plug in the USB to the Profilux. You should see it added and the com port should be listed. Once you have the com port, go into the GCC and make sure you have the correct com port selected. Then save the setting. Then try to connect again.
If you have not already done so, I would suggest joining the GHL user group on Facebook. It’s monitored by GHL support staff even on weekends and there are lots of knowledgeable users there as well.

As mentioned above, the connection settings for the P4 need to be set correctly.

When you open up GCC, click on ADMINISTRATE, then select the P4 connection, and click EDIT. Set the COM to either AUTO or the specific COM number of the P4. Click SAVE, then CLOSE, and the connection settings will be updated.

You can see what COM number the P4 is assigned to by opening Device Manager.

thanks guys....i set it to auto and it connected..i have to update the firmware and should be good to go..hope that's not to difficult .

Takes about 5 minutes, maybe 7 on first time
