I just bought an eel today and i am not sure what it is.

down below .. go to go advanced .. then you will see a place that says manage attachments .. click on that and use basic loader .. and upload ..

Ahh, I've been trying to ID this eel for a couple weeks now. We recently received one from a customer who didn't know the name. So far the only thing that I can provide on it is that the head structure is very similar to the fimbriated eel. These guys can be quite aggressive ( or so this is true with the one in the shop ). We need MorayKeeper to chime in on this Maybe a real eel expert will cruise through and help us out!

Looks like it could be a small Gymnothorax prionodon but the picture isn't the best.

LukFox's suggestion seems reasonable...i almost said g. undulatus based pn shape, but color/pattern wouldn't fit. Either way, cool eel, send it down to miami if you want to rehome it

What color is the eye? Still can't tell in the photo. Is it more yellow, brown, or purple, etc?
