riterri/magnifica anemone
So after browsing thread on here it seems that the riterri/magnifica anemone is the best choice for my Flurry clownfish ( Amphiprion ocellaris) Im afraid the riterri are gonna be too big for my 34g tank. What anemone would you suggest... my LPS suggested a LTA but not sure the clowns will host in it.

H. malu is a H. malu. Sebae anemone can be several anemone species, most common of which is H. crispa. Look for, and read about H. malu, not Sebae.
Malu stay on the sand, hardy and does not get larger than about 8 inches max. Nice color, and Ocellaris will very often use them as host, very quickly.

I have a Red Sea Reefer 170 (about the same gallons as you) with a magnifica. Mine is doing great. It's a small one, and I don't feed it (just let the light and some random pellets feed it).

In my experience, any clown will host in the best available anemone, or closest thing to an anemone if none are available. I'd go bta unless you are going for a display that replicates nature.

Probably over time most any clown will accept most any anemone, but often when it's not a natural match as found in wild it could take a lot longer for them to recognize and accept, that seems to be the issue most experience.
However natural or not, for some reason Malu seems to be quickly accepted usually, and that would be my choice for that size tank. If you did a mag it would eventually get pretty big for that tank, might end up being all you could keep in there, as it will sting whatever it touches. LTA is another option, just keep in mind they max at 18" while malu max's at 10" usually

I think it looks like a malu, time will tell for sure though. If it gets over 8-10 then crispa.

It does look healthy, congrats btw on getting a decent one that isnt completely bleached. Just my luck right after buying mine LA finally had those in stock.
That's the unfortunate downside with clowns they may take to it in a day or several years or they may never. It is a very nice nem so hopefully they will call it home.

I have 3 magnifica in a 30 long tank. The biggest is 15" in diameter. They will eventually have to be moved to a much larger tank. The key to magnifica is strong light and strong wave action. Obvious excellent water quality.
