off topic...what part of long island are you from? I'm in Oakdale

Sps are very finicky. Keep your levels stable. Plus the do like a lot if flow. But I will say one thing. When using Gfo. It's better to use a 1/4 if what you need abd change more often. You don't want the levels bouncing up and Down

And I am in kings park

I hope you right. I just checked for stray voltage and it's 70 Volts !! So I start turning the equipment off and found out that my skimmer leaking 65 volts to the water. I replace it with another one and my whole system now at 10 volts.

I hope this was a problem !

That's both terrible and awesome at the same time. Hopefully your tank makes a turn for the better now!

Ah cool bethpage isn't that far

UPDATE: Sorry I have been busy moving to my new house and didn't really had time to update this. The problem didn't go away, I lost almost all my corals including LPS. The tissue just keep separating from a skeleton. First it was just SPS, then all my torches, now hammerhead. I find tissue floating around the tank every day.

With a new house I build a new 150G tank and moved everything there. I used all new sand and new water. I only transfer the fish and rocks with whatever corals left. It has been a week since in a new tank but the problem is still persist. All parameters are in check. I used same salt to mix new water.

Sorry, I haven't read the entire thread, but if you moved everything into a new tank, then you really didn't change anything.

If it's something in the rocks leaching, or one of your pieces of equipment, then I'm afraid you just moved the issue to the new tank.

If your lps are dying too it has be water quality issue. Sps can be finicky but lps are a lot easier. I would check for nitrate and phosphates.

NO3 - 2 ppm
PO4 - 0.16 ppm

That's in the new tank with all new water.

Rocks can leach both into the water. Changing 100 percent of your water doesn't do much for phosphates and only does something for nitrates short term.

I still don't understand what could be a problem. Even if the rocks leach out some phosphates it's not much. 0.16 ppm PO4 is not that high to cause the corals to die. Or I am wrong?

.16 phosphates is high Now some people will tell you that there tank is that high and thriving. But that's like me saying I can eat doughnuts everyday and be skinny. Well most of us can't
The problem with rocks leaching nutrients and having too much decaying matter is it brings on a new set of problems. Could be ph fluctuations and bacterial problems. What do you have for flow.

Ph in certain spots can be lower if too much decaying going on. Great water movement combined with clean rocks and stuff will limit that. If I am explaining my point. It's almost like when you go swimming in the ocean and you get a warm spot

Yes I cleaned them in the old water from an old tank right before I moved them into my new tank.

I almost have no snails right now. Used to have a lot but they all died from not enough food ? I have no crabs, I had a conch who also died. I have only one Starfish and sea cucumber.

Snails are sensitive to nitrates. More likely it got to high and killed then than they all starved to death

Have you check for total chlorine? That's indication of chloramine in water.
