Coral Spotlight | Hydnophora
Common Names: Knob coral, velvet horn, branch coral
Difficulty Level: Hydnophora is one of the easier SPS corals with minimal chemical needs other than stability and higher light. Feeding: Hydno will eat small particulate meat based foods such as rotifers or cyclopeze. Lighting: Higher lighting is a must as with most SPS corals. Waterflow: Strong random current will suite hydnophora in keeping its flesh clear of detritus and other debris. Placement: Hydno is an aggressive SPS coral, so keep it away from other more sensitive species. General: Hydnophora comes in many different growth forms, but with the same super-fluorescent coloration on most, they are easy to pick out https://captivecoral.net/portfolio/hydnophora/ Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk |

This coral always grew like a weed for me. Actually, it was about invasive. You can use it as round up in a tank. Kills everything dead!
