LED recommendations?
I am planning an upgrade and need to figure out the best way to light the tank. The new tank will be 24-30inches deep, 24 inches wide and either 4 or 6 feet long. If I did a DIY LED setup, what would you guys recommend? How many LEDs do I really need? I am not looking for crazy PAR numbers (100+ at the bottom though), and I do have a meter so I can work with that along the way. The other option I am considering is VHO fluorescent since I have the fixture, that would be 6x110w (4 foot) or 6x160w (6 foot) bulbs. Currently I am running 4x110W (4 foot) bulbs over a 48Lx18Wx30H tank and have 120 PAR at the bottom.
thanks Dan |

IF money isnt an issue, look into the Aquaillumination Sol modules.
