Xenias in a refugium?

I read on another thread a couple days ago that xenias can help reduce nitrates. I plan on adding a refugium to my tank when i move to a new house. Would it be beneficial to have a refugium with macro algae and xenia growing everywhere? (which would also make tons of frags)

You'll need more light in your fuge, but its a decent idea. In terms of nitrate removal, macro algaes probably win though.
