Anyone successfully kept a pipefish in an 81 degree tank?

I dont know why not depending on the species. Many of them come from water warmer than that in the wild. I wouldnt go too much warmer though.

You could keep flagfins that warm, but 81*F is pretty darned hot for any tank IMHO...there's basically no room for spikes at all.

It is warm because i am too cheap to keep the house below 78 when we are not there. The tank is usually 79 in the morning and 81max in the afternoon.

I cant go off a lot of experience, however I have a pair of blue lines and banded pipefish and the temp gets to 82 sometimes and down to 78 and they seem to do fine had them for little over a month and I feed them well three maybe even four times a day. They seem to be pretty happy!
