Your building a system worth thousands and thousands of dollars... I'd just take a chance on the ~$20 clamps If they don't cut it, that's less than the cost of a nice fish.

I like the rockwork! Just a word of advice, unless you really like those zoa's, put them on a rock that can be removed from the tank with ease. If they take off then you can control them or frag them. If it's not easily removable then they can cause issues with overgrowth down the road.
