Thinking of getting this for an 8 gallon. Does the built in controller handle sunrise/set?

It does. You can set each of the light channels by each hour of the day. So 24 adjustments for each channel is allowed.

Soo will these work on a time or is the timer built in and you have to manually turn it on each morning?

Well i only ask because I read in a different forum that they wouldn't work on a timer. I just was wondering if anyone with the LED can give me their experiences.

http://www.micmol.com/aquamini.html not sure why you would input the time if it does come by itself.

The first generation doesn't work on timer but the currently sold generation have timers built in with dimming.

I'm considering this LED light for my CADLights 8G Mini-II. Could someone measure the distance from the back aquarium wall (attachment point) to the center of the light unit? I'm trying to see if it will center over my tank. Also, any new impressions on this light since the last posting? Thanks!!

Is the pro series suitable for 44cm x 36cm tank? Or I should go for maxspect?

Bringing up a dead thread but i have the micmol mini gen 2 with timer built it and i was wondering what settings/percentages do you guys use for white, blue, and blue special for softies/lps tanks? I got a 10 gallon rimless with acans and want to dial it in better.

Thanks
Tony

Start low, I would put it on the most blue and at the lowest setting and then ramp it up nice and slow.
