Anyone been to Anegada, BVI?
My husband have been looking at going to Anegada for a while. We've gone to St. john, USVI a coupple of times with day trips to Virgin Gorda and Jost Van Dyke. We are planning to fly to Tortola for a few days, take the ferry to Anegada for 4-5 nights, then back to Tortola for a night or 2 before flying home.
We like to snorkel, but no diving. Any suggestions? |

Sad to say, but I snorkeled one beach on the north side of the island - Loblolly I think, and was not impressed. The beach was beautiful, decent fish assemblages, but the reef was dead. Things got a little better when we squeezed out past the reef crest (pretty far out), but not much better. I expect the 2004-2005 bleaching events hit this area pretty hard.
That being said, there's a lot on the north side I didn't see. Enjoy the beach, and go find the reefs I didn't snorkel!
