Glass,
Hows the tank going, and are there any new pictures, updates, or new equipment?

Providing a bump for this awesome system but I doubt we'll hear anything. He hasn't been on in months.

Hey! Thanks for thinking of my thread and thanks for your praise. I haven't been on the boards much for the last 7 years. Picked up a bit of the colon cancer and it wandered over to my liver. I'm mostly empty now - the surgeons cut almost everything out. They seem to have done a good job because, though it's taken years, I'm feeling pretty decent now. They've been looking around, inside me, for a number of years but haven't found anything new. Takes a good while to climb back out of the hole that was dug by all that radiation and chemicals. Somebody has definitely been watching over me.
I've been working on getting the tank back up. Should be done around August.

I am going to build a canopy with aluminium light racks on a switch to move them up and down. I am going to use your design and two others as a basis. I actually go through WW every month or two on business...nice bedroom community. If you are ever going to be in Tampa, dont hesitate to drop me a line, I would love to take you to lunch and show you my systems, so you can tell me how to improve them!...(2-500 gallon tanks). Anyway glad to see you back! |

I always wanted to make my light rack move automatically up and down. Just never got around to it. What are the specs on your tanks? Either of them happen to be around 96" long?

Currently have Pacific Sun Leds/t5 combo. HATE them. Going with either GHL Mitras lx7 or Ophek V4. Once I figure that out I am staring on the rack. |

Donkin, Robb, Ed & Sandy,
Thanks so much for your well wishes! I am convinced that someone was watching over me and I feel very, very lucky. I'm running a little behind on my tank project but, what the heck. I look forward to posting about some of my new DIY projects: - a custom dosing center - an ATO with alarm and data recording - a water flow metering system for up to 8 pumps - a DIY stream pump sweeping mechanism utilizing a model airplane type servo - a controller for a RODI storage tank where initial product water from each fill is directed to a waste line so that contaminants are cleared from the DO membranes before the tank is filled.
