The only update is my house is sale pending.
So sometime in late january/early february the tank is going to have to come down and go bye-bye. It's dimensions and style won't really work in the new house so a new build is in my future.

For now... the cube is in "maintenance mode". No more updates.

Going to try to have someone babysit some live stock for me.
But anyone in the Houston area who is interested in the tank and stand, let me know.

I appreciate all the followers and comments through the past couple years. I've already got some plans for the next build (more traditional in a more traditional house) so be on the lookout for a new build thread from me sometime in 2012.

I would also like to hear your opinion. I'm looking at one of these fixtures also.

Sorry

The last thing I read was a post about your light fixture, and know I don't see it. Well any way any feed back you could give me would be much appreciated.

Bummer. I loved the modern look of this tank.

I would buy it from you in a heart beat. Mind delivering it to Seattle???

Ya, bummer about the tank.

But a new build will commence as soon as possible.
I'll end this build thread with a link to the new build thread.

Looking at tank prices now but hard to commit until i get into the new house.

Sad to see the tank go but glad to hear you are starting up a new one. Thanks for sharing it and all the knowledge you put into it.

Hope the move goes well for you and your family. I will be watching out for the new thread!

cheers

haha, I wish I could take credit for that, but it was one of our local club members who came up with that idea, and built it for me. Probably my favorite thing about this tank.

Man Dennis, I'm sad to hear you are going to tear down that tank. It really was a great one. But I'll tell you, I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

I got lots of inspiration from this build...buyer will be lucky owner of an elite setup...the tank is famous. I immediately recognized this tank on YouTube after seeing all the beautiful EcoTech marketing material.

GL with the move and look forward to your next project.

This whole thread and build have made me very very jealous. I am in the process of doing a new 60 gallon cube build and i feel like i have done so much wrong just by looking at this beauty. =)

Awesome build. To bad you have to start all over.

This tank gets torn down this weekend and moved to it's new home... 3CC (Third Coast Corals) here in Houston.
I have already removed the auto water change system from the walls of the house, and replacing the baseboard moulding now. Just need to touch up the paint.
Next I need to drain the tanks and wash them out. They'll get moved and stored until I can set up the new system.
We move in less than 3 weeks. I will probably get the new tank ordered soon and then the stand.

Dennis,

Sorry to read that you are having to move, and tear down the tank. I have just purchased the Spectrapure LiterIII and extra pump as you have on page 19 of this thread for water changes. Thanks for the extra help and your thread here.
