Oceanrunner 3500 Replacement Pump
Hi All -
I've been out of the hobby for a bit, but am ready to get going again. I tried to fire up my Aqua Medic TurboFloater 5000 "Baby" skimmer today and it appears the OceanRunner 3500 needlewheel pump has a bad seal. I know they don't make OR 3500 anymore, has anyone tried to replace the pump with something readily available and had any luck. Same configuration as the regular TurboFloater 5000 if anyone has had luck there. I understand from AquaMedic that they do market a replacement pump for somewhere around $250 or so but you have to order direct from Germany. Looking for something maybe a little more readily available that folks may have had some luck with. Thanks in advance for any advice. |

I'm pretty sure the OR was just a rebadged Hailea pump. An Eheim 1262 may be a good option.
