Maxspect Gyre XF 250 Magnets compromised
I was conducting my 6-month maintenance and noticed some odd looking stuff on the edge of the wet-side magnet on several of my Gyre XF250. I have 5 of them in my 600G system and 2 that I swap out. Upon closer inspection I could see the seal had failed and they were decomposing into my tank. Very disappointed to say the least. I will be contacting CoralVue tomorrow but wanted to warn people. I cut the suspect ends off and 100% they were full of water. They are one piece except for on one end they are a cap that is glued or something (Not very well). I did some searched but did not see anything on this. Maybe I am just unlucky but wanted to bring it up as I have also had some strange outbreaks in the last couple of months. Check your Gyres!
