Silicate levels in retail salt?
I found a chart for most retail salts that shows the CA, Alk and Mag levels.
Does anyone also know of one available for silicate levels? |

I haven't seen such a chart in a while. Silicate tends not to be very important as far as the initial mix goes. You can supplement silicate if you want to keep the level up. Are you interested in growing sponges? Waterglass will make a good silicate supplement, in my experience.

If the problem actually is diatoms, they should be easy to control. Many snails are happy to eat them.
