Great tank.. well worthy of TOTM.

A little off topic.. but, I was wondering.. what would it take for your false perc fry to live? Do they need to be removed (yes, I realize that would be impossible tho)? What is it that kills them, other fish?

For somebody that is new to the hobby but is currently in the planning stages, this TOTM is the best ever. Thank you for being exhaustive in your descriptions of your tank, maintenance, and design. Thank you thank you.

Congrats buddy. Very well deserved!

I spend more time at Jose's house than I probably should and it is truly awe inspiring to see. Easily, he is the most generous and helpful reefer that I know.

I'll add that you've been an inspiration to me for years. I've consistently referred to your website and RC posting archives while setting up and maintaining my system, my tank has a jdieck-slant to it
Your assistance, directly and indirectly, is very appreciated.
Excellent system, congrats and THANKS!!!!

No roids just the usual calcium, alkalinity and lots of T&L care.

Thanks!
I mounted the fans on rubber inserts and groomets that reduced the vibration and the noise by more than half.

I have to say that I really enjoyed reading the article about your tank. I snickered a few times at your humor (tread mill), and your titles to each section were very funny!

Thanks for sharing...
Thanks, I keep trying to improve my "Spanish"

Unfortunately they become food as soon as they are off the eggs.
I think if I locate a smooth black tile right in fromt of the spawning site and take it out with the eggs to a grow up tank a day or two before they hatch might make the trick. I just have not had the time or the extra tank to try.

Im sure it would be difficult considering the size and population of that tank. Be fun to try some day tho.

Agian- Great looking system..
