Exclamation What the heck are these?

The threads in this forum are created by member blogs. Anytime a member creates a new blog entry, a thread is created in this forum. This does a few things:
  • It makes blog entries searchable
  • New blog entries are visible via the "Get New" function

The blogs are a great place to start a build thread or tank log and avoid getting lost in the group in some of the main forums. To read, comment or subscribe to a blog entry, just follow the link in each post.

I believe you need to be a premium member to start a blog. You should be able to reply to one without premium membership though .

Me too. I was reading some and I think is like an online diary. I can't figure out the advantage of this over a normal thread.

I think they were saying that an advantage is they are searchable. Maybe "more" searchable somehow.

These posts don't make sense... Seems like advertising.

I guess if you follow a particular member and find their advice useful, if they had a bank of info and advice they "blogged" about, itll make it easier to find rather then search their entire thread list?

Hi BlueCorn - I posted here and can only see it when logged in. I'm a new member. Is there a delay or some kind of approval until my post is up?

I approved your post. New user threads go into a manual moderation queue as an anti-spam technique. You should see it now.

I have a blog where I'm documenting my tank. Is there still a way to link those updates here?

You could put a link to your blog in your signature line.
