Fragged Zoas

So I read they produce a slime coat when disturbed. Does this slime
cause any issues to fish or other corals?

I am running carbon now per other poster's suggestion.

I fragged some Zoas off branch since they were on the back side.

You can see on the top of the branch. Eventually they will open up again
I hope?

how about this one? looks worst than other one

does it pose threat to other life in the tank?

when Zoas die, they release all toxins into water I assume?

should I leave it alone, cut it out and toss it?
The white stuff encapsulating the Zoas
