Largest Private Tank!!!

Now that i have you attention... Who has the largest private tank? Reef, Shark, FO, ect...

I've been thinking about a dream tank and it would probably be a wrap around tank that is on 3 walls when you walk in the room and is all connected. Even 4 walls if possible. Anyone seen anything like this besides at a public aquarium?

As far as I know, Mr 4000's 4000g tank is one of the biggest private tanks. I'm sure that there might be others bigger, but I haven't seen them on RC.

This is the biggest one I have seen. It's freshwater, but still impressive.

That guy on monsterfishkeepers.com probably has the largest private tank. Check that link CH showed. He has pics of that tank. Too bad its not saltwater!

That same person also has a 20,000 gallon along with his 50,000 gallon.

There is a gentleman on the east coast, I believe in the Carolinas, that has a very large tank. He is an underwater diver, and wanted a tank to dive in. It has several patch reefs and very natural schools of fish.

I'll try to dig up more info on it.

I still think that the 50k gal Tank in Canda as to be the largest private tank It would take a heck of a lote to top that one

Large Tank

If you are looking for a really large tank that you can have done to your specs then I would look into a company in Fort Lauderdale, Living Color Enterprises.

They build custom tanks pretty much any size and and any way you want it. If they can make it work, they will.

I think the best website to look at is: http://www.livingcolor.com/installat..._island_ny.cfm

If you are interested in just talking to someone I would probably get ahold of Keith Young his number is 954-861-2818

That's amazing. I wonder how the light will reach the bottom of the tank? Maybe they have lights added between floors?

There's a reference on the book Corals by Borneman of a 9,000 gallon aquarium owned by Klaus Jensen

David Saxby's 1700 gallon display with 1500 gallon sump has always been one of my favorites. Here is a link to the pics

Iam in the process of laying out th ehouse right now , The tank will be 22 feet long , 15 wide and 6 feet high . I figured I would get it right this time ,I made th elast tank too small . It will be made of a steel frame covered in plywood and then lined in pvc sheets weled togther .
Iam starting on th econstruction of the tank in a few weeks . Iam waiting for the front acrylic panel to come from reynolds .
If anyone is interested in buying a 1500 gallon tank with a 600 gallon tank and a 340 gallon tank in the loft with a nice house to go around it let me know . Iam basicly giving the tanks away with the house minus th elive stock . I would hate to rip them out and sell the house to a none reef person .Oh yea , the house id like 4000 sq feet , 3 bedroom , 4 bath . 3 car finished gararge with heat , hot tub , 8 person movie theater , large kitchen with all top of the line appaliances on one acre with ingroungd sprinklers witha few fish tanks and a large room for them . Ianclueds most of th eequiptmet also . just need fish and corals .

I suppose Energy's 1500g is decent size as well and worth mentioning...

Bill, I mean this in the nicest way possible...YOU ARE INSANE!!! That system will be over 15,000 gallons. I cant wait to see it evolve. Good luck and if you ever need to have me scuba to clean the algae...let me know...lol. I would love a tank like that (but not the electric bill).

Where is the house? The three most important things in real estate: location, location, in-wall fish tanks.
