Thanks. Still a lot of learning to do. Testing water today and will post results. I bought some new frags from a local on the forum. He had an awesome collection to chose from and great knowledge.

First item to change 1 more gallon a week for water changes so 2 gallons per week and will re test next month for results. Also no dosing with calcium and alk or as my test calls it carbonate hardness. Those will be the only changes for a month.

You are running a protein skimmer right? Just did not see you mention filtration, if you are dosing bacteria and a carbon source, better make sure you have a skimmer, and a good one nonetheless... Just FYI... Keep up the good work

Nice tank St. Pete_Reefer! I am also location in St. Pete and i am in the process of getting my 12g nano back up and running. It's been a freshy for a couple years now, and it's time to take it down and switch to salt.
I agree with the other reviews on Creative Aquariums LFS. I stopped in last week and the place was really nice and clean. I talk with the guys there and they gave me great info and didn't push me to buy anything so i'll be a customer of theirs for sure.

Tested no3 still over 160ppm with water change and new sand. Maybe I should try a media product like seachem matrix. Has anyone tried it?

Just looked at my timer for the light and I've had it on for 10 hours :-/ I will bump it to 8 hours and see what happens. I may try and do a quick HD video.
