new to Apex - simple question
setup to question:
I'm just building the system now, DT hasn't arrived. 465g DT, 150g refug, 150g sump. - Currently the Barracuda is looping output of sump around to refug with curing rock in both. Valve to DT return feed is off (no DT) - Other flows: refug feeding BK300 External outputting to sump, GFO reactor feed from refug outputting to sump, carbon reactor feed from refug outputting to sump. - Apex system: controller, 2 x EB8, EB4, 2 x PM2, PM3 - pumps: GFO, carbon, 2 on skimmer (Red Dragon + Iwaki input), Barracuda main I'm about to head out of town for a week, want to leave all of this running, need to be able to clikck a few icons on iPhone and shut all the pumps off if my wife calls and screams "FLOOD!" questions: 1. if i have the Barracude plugged into EB4-3 and the skimmer pumps plugged into EB4-4 what is the simple coding to have them always on unless I hit OFF on the iPhone app for that port? 2. Same for the reactors pugged into outlets 4 & 8 on one of the EB8 units. I'm not clear from the manual on how to program an outlet to be ON 24/7. All of the descriptions I have encountered describe programming oscillations. Do I just zero all of the fields in the wizzard out? or? thanks in advance for responding to a lame question....

The Pump wizard is intended for water circulation pumps like powerheads which are sometimes cycled on and off at regular intervals.
For outlets that are normally always on (such as skimmers, return pumps, closed loop pumps), go into Configuration->Outlet setup. Select the outlet. Choose Advanced Control Type. Delete the default programming. Add this: Fallback ON Set ON You can add things like Feed cycle later. But the above two lines will get you going. |

get a breakout box and set up some wet floor sensors so you don't have to wait on your wife to call...
just a thought, you have some really nice stuff so this probably isn't a big deal for you to add |
