135 gal tank
50 gallon sump Chiller which vents outside via a one way vent with a 6" fan to draw air through the chiller Only two fish I have left This is what my tank used to look like, the tangs were given away to a friend that has given them a new home But the last 2 years have been a difficult time for me both financially and personally and my tank suffered but things are better now and I have time and money to devote to my tank again . My tank really started to go down hill when I moved into a new house which unfortunately required extensive electrical work to be able to handle my tank so my tank sat in my old house which I could only visit once a week (if I was lucky) to take care of it. I had a severe hair algae outbreak due to a poorly functioning and damaged skimmer as well as bad water. I lost quite a few mushroom corals and all of my zoa colonies but life goes on and now I have a new setup and am anxious to get it back up to what it was. Here are the specs for my setup: 135 gal tank with center overflow and 2" unrestricted drain 50 gal sump (got a stock tank from OC farm supply and it works perfect) AquaC EV 240 skimmer and mag drive 18 pump custom hood with 3 175 watt 12000K MH bulbs Eheim canister filter used as a carbon reactor 3 gallon kalk reservoir I am not finished with building the cabinets around everything due to not having the time available but I am slowly getting everything finished.

Thanks, it looked like this before I lost all my caps due to the montipora eating nudibranch (this was from April of this year right before I had to tear em all out).
I think that is my favorite FTS of my tank since it was setup... - MikeT |

nah... it's gone thru 2 crashes now... the last one was an accident really... but still... i hate my tank... i like my corals though... but i'm just waiting to see who will take care of some of my corals and fish for a couple of months, then my entire setup (sans the skimmer) will get taken down and sold... until i build a setup worth showing...
but right now it's basically all duncans and frags... nothing spectacular... and i didn't know i talk trash here and there... if you get your feelings hurt during an argument that's a trip... imagine if i really talked trash... probably get you to jump off bridges or something... |
