temp swing in a 14 gallon
What is a safe/acceptable temp swing in a 14 gallon (10 gallons of water volume)? On Average, My Biocube 14 will swing from ~78.5-~81.0
This seems like a lot to me. But, before I go spending a lot of money onf LED's or a chiller, I figured I woud ask other's opinions. |

What kind of corals? That doesnt seem like a big enough variance to warrant serious concern unless you're seeing adverse effects on your corals.

It's not a lot. My SPS tank swings more than that in the summertime.

I would not worry about a small swing.
Some people have swings of 5 degrees over 24 hours. The corals have acclimated to these changes and show no signs of stress such as polyp retraction etc. How do you think that your corals have been reacting to these changes? |
