Free cabbage and colt coral frags?

So real estate in my 60 cube is going to become an issue sooner rather than later and I wanted to gauge if there would be any interest in free colt and/or cabbage coral frags before I go to town on them?

I know they aren't anything special but they are happy and healthy.

I would love to try out some cabbage. I'm new and they look kind of cool.

Newbie here - not sure what those corals look like. Could you post some photos? Also, I'm in Washington. Would you ship them, or are you looking for someone local who can pick them up?

I don't understand how you out of the area reefers find these threads. Your way way out of the area , Washington, and find a guy 3 states away giving away coral. I think that's pretty lame to ask him to ship on top of it. He's already being kind enough to give them away.

I found it on the "new post" list. I did not go looking for anything. As for shipping, I merely asked a question. Not only with this, but with anything else anyone might be selling or giving away, I would expect to pay for postage, and if necessary for heat packs, etc. I also have a daughter and various friends in CA who could perhaps pick up something for me and ship it to me. No reason to jump on me 2 seconds after I posted.

My apologies amethyst. It is not my place. If he has a problem he can say so.

No problem motoreefer. Apology accepted.

At the moment I'm more interested in what these corals look like than whether he will/won't ... can/can't ship them. That was my first question. I can look them up though, so if posting pix is too big a hassle, no problem.

I'm going to start cutting these tonight and attaching them to rock pieces if there are any more people that are interested. Once they are firmly attached and responding well to the transition I'll PM each person so I can arrange pick up or drop off with them. These were $5 frags from Pacific Reef that I picked up a year ago when getting back into the hobby.

Photos taken under 50/50 LEDs with a Note 2.

I'm in Costa Mesa off of the 55 freeway and 19th Street. Its pretty far from your listed location but if you are planning on heading in this direction anytime soon I can cut a piece for you.

To be honest with you it is going to be cheaper to find something like a cabbage coral or a colt coral locally than to have me ship them to you. They are both really common corals that are generally easy to keep.

I'm no expert but I believe Kenyans has tips that are more asparagus-like in appearance and sparse instead of bushy. Might be someone who knows a whole lot more than me on the subject tho.

Thanks for the pix, and for the response about finding them locally. I appreciate it. I do like both of the types. I'll look into local sources.

Joanna, I also have a mini colony or two available on a small live rock if you're ever in the San Fernando Valley.

Haha, I got him from a local reefer. Was originally purchased from ORA. Not a mellow fish though, FYI. Always attacking me (:

The frags should be ready for pick up and/or delivery at the end of the week. Things got a little delayed from the kids having the flu (and then giving it to me, horay!).
