Rodi ?

So I've had this unit for a while now - never with any issues.

I've replaced all the filters now and the DI resin and the membrane but still getting TDS of 4.

Any ideas what may be causing the residual TDS?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Your TDS meter is broken or sampling method flawed?
Your TDS meter is reading after the RO membrane and before the DI stage?
Hand-held or inline TDS sensors?
Are you collecting the water in a clean glass and nearly immediately testing?

Have you let the system run for an hour or so to clear out any crap?

Here are some pics of the set up which should answer your questions.

Still not sure why my TDS is coming out higher on the DI side.

You can see my IN TDS coinsides with the IN DI resin - the same for the OUT.

The IN measures 4 TDS and the OUT measures 7. My handheld TDS meter measures the refined water at 15.

Am I using the wrong size of filters? They were all standard 10 inch but I did get them piecemeal through Amazon instead of the usual pack I get on BRS.

It's possible the filters are bad but it doesn't explain the poor performance of the DI resin

The pictures don't show much as they are cropped..
I don't even see an RO membrane..
The prefilters will have little to no effect on TDS..
The only thing that reduces TDS is the RO membrane and the DI stage..

And somehow your handheld is measuring even higher? Dirty glass? Not sampling fast enough?

I'd start by rechecking the routing of the system to ensure its correct...
This shows proper routing..

What is source water TDS?
What is post RO membrane TDS?
What is post DI stage TDS?
How many gallons per day is the membrane and how much are you actually getting?

When I measure TDS in a glass it's 5-7.
When I measure that same water in the brute can its 0
Same every time I make water once per week...same results each week.
Even changed the glass serveral times, and once plastic cup....same results.
Glass is clean, probe is clean...huh?????

the smallest amount of contamination in the cup can account for the 5-7 tds. rinse the cup out several times with ro/di first ….then take a sample and test it
