Spectrophotometer Woes

The spectrophotometer I use is no longer accurate, since the top plate does not fit snugly onto the bottom one.

There is a small screwdriver included with the meter.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem ?

maybe you could post a pic to give a better idea of what your talking about? Mine has a screwdriver too but that is used for adjusting the spectrophotometer.
