no PE recently

i've noticed in the last 2-3 days that most of SPS are showing no polyp extension. i checked my water chemistry last night and got:

sg: 1.025
ammonia/trite/trate: 0/0/undetectable
ca: 400
mg: 1220
alk: 8.6
pH: 8.3

i finished a 3x interceptor course a few weeks ago and check meticulously for parasites every other day but haven't found anything.

there's really no fish in there that would peck at the sps, except for a klein's butterfly i added 2 weeks ago. i haven't seen him pecking at the SPS, but that doesn't mean he's not doing it.

any thoughts?

I would put my money on the Kliens butterfly fish.

I believe its' the Kiens butterfly too. I had a copperband in my sps tank and had to trap him out. He was nipping at my sps polyps. Saw alot more PE after he was gone.

It's the Kleins, I have one in a pallet bin taking care of Aptasia. He did such a great job I moved him to the display but in that tank he went for the sps. It took me a couple days to figure it out and another week to finally catch em. He is now with my Clown Goby starring at sps from across the room.

Definitely it's the kleins. I put one in 3 weeks ago for the aptasia and saw him nipping at all of my sps. Caused most of them to have no pe at all. Took him out and 1 week later pe back to normal.
