Yes....lot's of them.

This is the one place most people make their mistake......by not getting a big enough one.....always go way bigger than you think.

Reason is most manufacturers rate their product based upon tank size for either 1) Fresh water-- which is almost 10 times the capability as for saltwater
or
2) Rated for saltwater but for algae control which is much higher rating than for parasite control.....parasite control is the reason I would choose to have one.

So do some research on this before making a choice on size.....then choose a manufacturer. Which should be fairly simple to do after you've done your research.

Most likely adding one, just not right way. Ran one back in the nineties on a 75/55 system. Can't remember what size it was. Will do on research.

What's your flow rate through it and how big is the bulb?

It is a Coralife Turbo Twist 6x. 18w bulb. I'm using a 500 gph utility pump to drive it.

Turbo Twist is probably one of the best designs ever......and then they used a crappy PC bulb.....with low wattage .....these are good for a nano at best.

Sorry just my opinion...

I run a turbo twist 12. It seems to keep the algae from spreading everywhere. I try to keep the rate of flow through it slower. I think it is set around 300 gph. I run it off a side loop from the return so as not to kill anything going from the fuge back up to the display. I like them enough to have bought one for my parents to use in their pond. It did improve the water clarity of their 450gl pond.
