Yeah I know, I did not surround it in Formica and put it in the wall yet. My lights are rounded, kinda modern. JK. Really innovative designs, materials and aquascapes. The hobby has really evolved from the glass box. Great work to all.

This was posted here by mistake, I was attaching this pic to another post before I realized I had multiple windows opened and the edit time expired. Sorry. So if the mods can correct this I appreciate it.

mile sq reefer,
I really like the minimal amt of rock your using and coral coloration, how long has that tank been set up? Have you considered a black background of some sort to really make the corals really stand out?

mile sq. reefer - I really like the look of your tank especailly with the minimalist approach.

This may help you as you continue down that road with your aquascaping.

Thanks Reeftanks6, I posted here in error. But its my low tech, minimalist approach to reefing. Its been working for me for years.

Thanks drouner for the link, I think its a prerequisite to view Invincible569 system when you sign on to RC. When I went with more SPS I took out more rock.

Great link. Thanks!

My last tank, a 150g peninsula was designed using the golden rule, meaning the dimensions of the tank itself followed the golden ratio. It looked pretty nice.

ahh, the golden ratio. Such an important tool when it comes to composition.

Cambarr- This thread is starting to become quiet the collection of images. Keep up the good work.

Some awesome tanks guys... WOW

Though I think the in-walls are stunning, it is hard for me to rank them the best in this thread. THey are something I dream of having, but really they are all the same and more about the house around it, and not the tank itself. Awesome tanks, but I think pulling off other setups is more difficult.

I think these two are the best of the thread, with the 10-gallon winning. Just awesome. That little 10-gallon is a one of a kind and defines modern to me. I am surprised it seemed to get ignored.

I think these define modern aquarium design. And Elos wins for brand.

Thanks, Justin Obviously, RalfP's cabinetry was in inspiration to me. Aquascaping wise, I love Steve West and Edward's (Invincible569) tanks.

Tbone28,
The diagram represents the golden rule/ratio/swirl/ aka the rule of thirds.. Very interesting indepth read about this on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio

We use it as a tool for aesthetics. But there are very interesting relationships between it and nature. Many paintings revolve around the concept as well. Essentially, the swirl in the diagram represents a path that the viewers eye follows when viewing such a composition. A good way to use the diagram is simply use it as a template when designing. HTH.
