Here it is. I just pull the rock from the bay (with some friend) and just pile it in the tank. No aqua scape yet. The light is not on but skimmer is online. The light there is just room light. As you can see the trimming is not done. Hope to get it done in the near future.
The rock are full of critters, go straight from the bay to my tank. No cycle. I will so some aqua scape and add a layer of sand this week.

I have to send one of my MP60 back to Ecotech for repair. My fault. I dropped it.

I am not sure why the picture did not load now. It loaded this AM. Need to repost thsi picture in a minute

Minh, looking good! I'm tagging along, my tank is still being made, 72X32X24, not to far off your dimensions. I'm going to be going with a perimiter return manifold with 6 returns powered by a Reeflo barracuda pump.

tassod,
Having a large tank before (420 gal in the early 2000), I find that it take a lot of energy to pump water from sump up to tank. Also a lot of water flow is noisy. There are so many different method of providing flow in the tank, I would not recommend high flow rate through the sump.
I used 2 dolphin 4600 pumps for return. Manifold with multiple out let control by an automated three way valves. It work great but the high rate of flow through the sump was wasted.
I also have a close loop which really increased the flow. There were no propeller type PH at the time. I use Vortech and Tunze with my built this time.

I'm trying to stay away from PH's inside the tank for this build for the very reason that I don't want to worry about my anemones getting caught in there. I'm not worried about noise, this will be using bean animal overflow and it will also be an in-wall build. As far as flow through the sump that can be controlled with gate valves. I also plan on using ball valves on my returns. I thought about using a closed loop but decided against it...didnt want to put more holes in the tank along with having to buy another pump.

I agree! My 265 in 2013/14 consumes less than half of the electricity my 180 did in 2008. I run a far smaller main pump, relying on vortechs for in-tank flow, and ramping LED lights are far more efficient than my old metal halides - plus I don't need a chiller!

Awesome, the gigas is bigger than the one at sea world San Antonio, looks like, that was yours at one point wasn't it?

That Monti is bigger than my head too. Hey Minh, Glenn said he might not have to work so it's a go for now. Idk if your still up or if things will change. Hopefully it's a go.

Funny thing is I also live in Texas (near Houston) and my name is also Minh.

My company has a terminal down in Corpus, the next time I am down there would you mind if I stopped by to take a look at your tank. I will treat you to lunch or dinner depending on schedule.
