HELP - I am freaking out
I am freaking out right now because as I was setting a coral frag with super glue gel, apparently I didn't let it set long enough before trying to mount the frag. A very small piece of the glue floated off into the water column and my foxface TRIED TO EAT IT!!!
Now, I think I have managed to glue his mouth shut. (feel free to laugh to yourself) Not my best move. Is there ANYTHING I can do to help him? |

OMG I feel so bad for him. He is one of my favorites. Can he still breathe through his gills with his mouth glued shut. I know it sounds fricking hilarious - but I really am worried about him

Ok, update on the Fox Face super glue incident. Mcgyvr, THANK YOU - you were correct in your infinite wisdom! The blob of glue holding his mouth shut has been dislodged, and he appears to be no worse for the wear.
Thanks to everyone who responded.............lesson learned. Reef putty from now on. |

So glad he is ok. That is scary. I hear of dogs eating that stuff and dying. Won’t let it in our house!

You can use it, but do it OUT of the water (won't hurt corals) and let it start to 'skin over' before putting it in the water..

this happened to my lawnmower blenny, only worse.
I just attached a frag to a rock and it got curious and tried to bite into the frag and the whole coral frag and plug attached to its mouth and was swimming around with the whole thing stuck to its mouth. and yes, everyone in the house was freaking out yelling and screaming. It came off by itself after a few minutes. |
