Very nice setup. Our local store has one like this with a fake tree instead of a volcano. Has real mangroves growing out of some of the fake roots...

This was such an awesome tank, I would love to see if he did start up another one and what it looks like if he said it was going to be a lot better because I thought the last one was awesome!

Do you put a screen over it at night? How many fish have you lost to jumping?

I have a tank that could pull this off...its pretty close in dimensions (36x36x9) but does not have the center drilled overflow. the problem is, like his, this old thing is 1/2" glass and it weighs a freaking ton!! And my wife does not want it in the house...that is the bigger problem LOL
maybe I will get enough motivation to set it up. i was gonna make it a frag tank, but this looks much more fun. especially for the kids.

I've been mentioning the volcano to several people this year.

It will be about a foot or tall, like this one, but I will have two distinct sections, and it will be about 8 feet long (I am targeting). A part of my wants to have two depths, but that will require a bit more customization that I will be willing. My thoughts are to provide all the automation I previously had, but really focusing on the mangrove part. I also want to target fiddler crabs this time with a bio-sand bed up with the mangroves that will be closed in. I will then focus the other portion as a full coral reef, focused on clown species for the water column. That part worked really well in the Volcano. I am truly appreciative of everyone's kind words. That means a lot! I have also been commissioned to build two custom tanks this year, so I will post some info on those as well. Thanks to everyone and I hope everyone has awesome tanks this year!

I've been telling people about this tank even on other forums.
