Phosphate limited??
Tested Phosphates and nitrates for the fist time in a while. Tank looks great since starting full aquaforest about a month and a half ago.
Today's readings are phosphates 0 (hanna ULR tested a couple times) and Nitrates 5 with Red Sea Pro. I'm assuming because i have 0 phosphates this isnt allowing the nitrates to lower. My plan is to remove AF phosphate remover and see if that fixes the problem. Any thoughts?? |

Sounds logical. You can add your frozen feed too.

Its a 60 gallon tank with 9 fish and I feed pellets twice a day and frozen once a day. So feeding heavily in a well stocked tank.
Using the following aquaforest products: Probiotic Salt (weekly 15-20% water change) Pro Bio S NP Pro Coral A / B / E / V Coral Food Phosphate Minus (just took offline today) Carbon Component Strong I will see if taking the phosphate minus offline evens out the phosphate/nitrate ratio. |
