What percentage should I run

Switched out 3 400W Halides (11" above the water) for 3 Xr30wG4 pros on a 220 gal SPS tank. The Radions are 9" above the water. What percentage should I run the Radions?

29" depth? With SPS I would start at 40% and work up...

Check and see if your local club has a par meter. I picked up a seneye just for the par function.

better to start low and work up then to blast 'em & bleach them...

I would expect that you would end up higher than 40% but I'm an advocate of working up rather than down. 40% for a few days, see how they look and then work up at 5% intervals every few days and observe til you find the sweet spot...

The best way would be to use a par meter and match the par the tank is already getting. Even a cheaper lux meter would help.

If those aren't a option I would set up the acclimation program for 3-4 weeks starting at 45% and finish at 70%.
The acclimation program is in ESL, as well as several easily adjustable pre-set programs.
