New Stand- What are your thoughts?

Hi all-

I am in the planning stages of building a new stand for my 40b. The first one was waay overbuilt and I could only fit a 10g for a sump. I saw this example: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...71&postcount=6, so I mocked it up.

What do you think? Would this be good to go?

I am nervous about the only wood supporting the tank are the green pieces, but I trust the OP.

I would have absolutely no issue with that design. I supported a 235 gallon tank with a stand built with 3/4 ply wood

The plywood ends are definitely bearing all the weight to the floor which IMO is sufficient. However the lateral support provided by your 1x4 pine will need adequate fasteners and I would recommend construction adhesive as well. I would struggle to trust a wavemaker or drunken guests side impact without those 1 x 4 frames being super solidly built. I need to sleep well.
