External been animal weir and return on the same side
I am just about to order my new 5'x2'x1.5' marine tank and wanted some advice on weir positioning. I was originally planning on having a toast to toast weir with a bean animal drain on the back however I would like the drain to come outs on the right hand side as it will be hidden by a cupboard. I plan on having an external box weir instead with the weir running down to the sun from there. Can I have your thoughts on that set up please? And also your thoughts on having the return pipe also coming from the right side of the tank, again so it is hidden by the cupboard. I know it should ideally coming from the opposite side, however how can I make this work?
Thanks. Steve. |

*damn autocorrect. Obviously meant coast to coast, not toast.

I think a picture showing what you would like to do would help. It sounds as though you want to set up your tank as a peninsula with the drain and return on the same side. If so, it can be done but isn't ideal.
