Tweaked it a little mere. I like the result even better. Two days hard work and a lot of back pain.
Picture from planning yesterday: Final today after tweaking

Yes I did. The tank has been running since late last summer. Also picked up a gigantea from a local reefer.

I am happy with the progress. Especially happy with the progress with my QT system. It is a perfectly healthy reef at this time. Below are pictures of this system. A 40 gal breeder reef with a few animals in it. Specifically there is a rock full of aptasia and tube worms, perfect for a new imported CBB QT. I have already use this as a QT system. My Maxima and Gigantea are doing well in this system.
FTS Aptasia and worm rock Maxima Gigantea. Tiny, only about 2 inches

FTS today. My Reef is without any fish or snails other than those that coem on with the rock. No Tang or Fox Face. It is already algae free. I got a Free living population of Isopods that are veracious algae eater. The wipe out the algae from the tank in just a few days. The tank full of turf algae prior to the population explosion of these free living Isopods.

I got this Labouti Fairy Wrasse from Petco for 49.99, with 10 dollars off. I cannot believe my luck. Petco always mislabeled their fish. It really not the faught of the worker there. These fish was send to this store missed label. It was sold as a Tono Fairy Wrasse. These guys are in my QT system. Eating well and have no problem with fighting..

Wrasse are coming. I think I move the wrasses in QT to the DT soon. I have two Hooded Fairy Wrasse and a Powder Blue tang coming. They will go into QT. My Purple tang is already in DT and my Labouti and Carpenter wrasse will go to DT soon.
I spend last night building the two screen top for my 320 gal DT. Each opening is roughly 3'X3'. Below are two picture. Completely cover the top, other than the overflow, internal part. I will have to get a piece of glass or acrylic and put this on top of the overflow and nothing will get out. Screen is 1/4 inch mesh.

I need to run to Petco! Great find!
That looks standard window screen frame from Home Depot Justin. I used it on my tank as well with the same screen mesh. |

Nice and really vibrant colored fish. I forgot, but did you get a mate or harem for him yet?

Wrasse experts do not recommend keeping pairs or harems of flasher or fairy wrasses. They will all turn males WW III erupt every time (given a little time). Non-dated recommendations always one per species per tank.

Huh, I always thought harems were ideal. I have a harem currently of black leopard wrasses but they are pretty communal, unlike some of their cousins. Everyone gets along peacefully, it also helps that I have lots of pods and feed frozen throughout the day.
