Vertex neck cleaner for BK Mini 180?
Does Vertex make a neck cleaner lid that will fit the Mini180?

They sure do... You need the Vectra cleaner itself:
http://premiumaquatics.com/aquatic-s...-PS-VSCHE.html Plus the 180mm lid: http://premiumaquatics.com/aquatic-s...X-PA-L180.html The Vertex cleaner heads a lot more robust - better built, and corrosion resistant compared to what the old AquaDriver cleaner head was. AquaDriver built the old expensive Bubble King head as well, so the Vertex is really the way to go. |

Can you post photos of the repairs you made? Also, is the bubble plate installed so that the outlet of the pump is hitting the piece of the bubble plate that has no holes in it, then disperses from there?

My mini 160 took three weeks, maybe more, to settle down. Give it some more time.

Does anyone know where I can buy a new pump housing? I am starting to believe that is the issue. I believe the epoxy in the repair is causing issues. By housing I am reffering to the white peaces that bolts to the pump and attaches to the bubble plate. (For a bk 180 gen2) I looked it up on there website out of the country but was woundering if there was somewhere in the US I could get a hold of one. Maybe cheaper!? Or if ANYONE has a broken BK180 and wants to sell me that part!!!! =) I took the skimmer apart today and cleaned everuthing and checked everything and yet it still is bubbling over like a mad man!

I might have one in our parts bin in the warehouse. Shoot me an email to jeremy@premiumaquatics.com and I'll check for you tomorrow.

I think I have fixed things. I added a carbon reactor and after 24 hours things got better.

Good morning guys. Need to replace my BK MINI 180 Gen 2 pump. It died on me overnight.
Anyone has a spare one around? Thanks. Doggydoc

We do not have any in right now, but we do have a shipment of pumps and replacements that are in transit from Germany.

How do you think a BK 200 external would do on a 150gal sps system with heavy bio load?
Would I be able to feed it with an overflow?

I think that a 150g would be a good fit if it's heavily loaded for the Deluxe 200. I wouldn't put that skimmer on a tank smaller than that system though. As far as feeding goes I am not a big fan of running it off the drain because you can get some variance of water flow in the skimmer. Any variance will change the operating height of the skimmer itself pretty substantially. I'd suggest teeing off of your return pump and feeding that way.

Thanks for the email re the pump for my BK Jeremy. I only need motor block. Not the impeller.
Thanks again. Do let me know just on case when the blocks come in. Thank you Doggydoc

I've got a BK 160, 1st gen I believe. The last couple of days the pump has been shutting down. I've taken it out and made sure all of the components are free of junk and sludge. Upon close examination it seems to be loading up, almost like it sputters a bit. It must run for a few hours like this before shutting down. Any suggestions on what I need to do?
